Senior Infants Paint Giants

The children in senior infants, room 8 have been reading a lovely book called “The Smartest Giant in Town”. It’s written by their favourite author Julia Donaldson and it’s illustrated by Axel Scheffler. The children enjoyed the story so much that they decided to work in groups and paint their own version of the story.

The book tells the story of a giant who had gone to the shop and bought himself a new shirt, a new tie, new trousers, socks and shoes. As he walked home he met various animals who needed his help. Have a look at our wonderful paintings to find out what happened.
