Tramore History Talk

We focus on history in a particular way during the month of November in Holy Cross School. We were delighted to welcome local historian Betty Cuddihy who gave a very interesting talk to the 3rd class pupils about some of Tramore’s interesting past.

Betty told us about events such as the sinking of the “Seahorse” in Tramore Bay, as well as about the smugglers who used to tell the locals that there were ghosts living in the sand dunes in order to keep them away from their smuggled goods! We really enjoyed the talk, thank you Betty.
